- Authentication Credentials: Handled securely by Supabase Auth (we do not store passwords)

- User-Generated Content: Custom flashcards, decks, notes, learning progress

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Provision: Provide and maintain the App, process authentication, sync data across devices, deliver personalized learning content
- Learning Features: Track learning progress, generate personalized study recommendations, implement spaced repetition algorithms, provide AI-generated flashcards
- Communication: Send authentication emails (magic links, OTP codes), respond to support requests, send important service updates
- Analytics & Improvement: Analyze app usage patterns, improve app performance, fix bugs, develop new features, conduct research (aggregated, anonymized)

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the App:
Supabase (Backend Services)

DeepSeek API (AI Services)
- • Purpose: Generate flashcard translations and examples
- • Data Shared: Words/phrases being translated (content sent to API)
- • Note: User vocabulary words are sent to third-party AI service for processing
Gutendex API (Book Content)
- • Purpose: Provide book library content
- • Data Shared: Search queries, book requests, language preferences
PodcastIndex API (Podcast Content)
- • Purpose: Provide podcast and radio content
- • Data Shared: Search queries, podcast requests
Apple (Authentication & Payments)
- • Purpose: Apple Sign In, in-app purchases
- • Data Shared: Authentication tokens, purchase information

4.2 Legal Requirements

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

Camera (Optional)
- • Purpose: To take photos for flashcard images
- • When Requested: Optional, when adding images to flashcards
- • Data Collected: Photos you choose to capture and use in your flashcards
- • User Control: You can deny this permission
You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time. Denying permissions may limit certain features of the App.
11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
iOS apps do not use traditional cookies like web browsers. However, we use similar technologies:
- Local Storage: We store data locally on your device for offline functionality and app preferences
- Device Identifiers: We may use device identifiers for analytics and to prevent fraud
- Analytics: We use analytics tools to understand how the App is used and improve our services
You can control some of these technologies through your device settings, though this may affect app functionality.
12. Subscription and Payment Information
Payment processing for subscriptions is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect, store, or process credit card information.
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Subscription Information: We store subscription tier and expiration date in Supabase for cross-device synchronization
- Purchase History: Managed by Apple and accessible through your Apple account
- No Credit Card Data: We never receive or store your credit card information
